Duties
The incumbent is responsible for analyzing, evaluating, and conducting cycle counts of spare parts and raw materials, performing physical inventories, inputting cycle count data into the Bureau of Engraving and Printing Management Information System (BEPMIS), analyzing differences, and corrective actions with ECF Operations Support. He/she oversees the independent cycle counting physical inventories of spare parts and raw materials on a daily basis at the Eastern Currency Facility (ECF) to include the Landover Warehouse location. Designs and recommends policies and procedures to enhance the cycle counting process and assists in the development and testing of new enhancement to the cycle counting functionality of the inventory application of BEPMIS. The incumbent provides guidance and assistance to team members to ensure conformance to the established BEPMIS cycle counting policies and procedures.
Qualification Requirements
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must have career or career-conditional status, have no limitations regarding shift or overtime work and meet the qualifications requirements of the position to be filled. All applicants must meet the Office of Personnel Management's time-in-grade requirements.
The applicant must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09). Specialized experience is experience that is in or related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the specific knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. Examples of qualifying specialized experiences can be found in the duties’ statement. All qualification requirements must be met within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
Basis For Evaluation
Qualified applicants will be evaluated in accordance with BEP Personnel Manual Chapter 335. A panel or rating official may be used to assess each applicant’s knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) as related to the duties of this position. Job-related evaluation criteria include:
1. Knowledge of the policies and procedures governing the accountability processes for conducting cycle counts of raw materials and/or spare parts.
2. Demonstrated ability to schedule daily counts, prioritize special counts not generated by computerized cycle count program, and provide guidance to team members on conducting cycle counts.
3. Demonstrated knowledge of cycle counting process in relationship to inputting data in the Bureau of Engraving and Printing’s Management Information System (BEPMIS).
4. Knowledge of manual cycle counting documentation in relation to the BEPMIS reports in order to accurately prepare reports for upper management.
