John W. Snow
Secretary, The Department of the Treasury
President George W. Bush nominated John William Snow to be the 73rd Secretary of the Treasury on January 13, 2003. The United States Senate unanimously confirmed Snow to the position on January 30, 2003 and he was sworn into office on February 3, 2003. As Secretary of the Treasury, Snow works closely with President Bush to strengthen economic growth and create jobs.
Mark W. Olson
Member of the Board of Governors, Federal Reserve System
Mark W. Olson took office on December 7, 2001 as a member of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System. Mr. Olson, along with the other six Board of Governors members, works to provide the nation with a safer, more flexible and more stable monetary and financial system.
Thomas A. Ferguson
Director, Bureau of Engraving and Printing
Thomas A. Ferguson was appointed as the Director of the Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) on December 7, 1998. The BEP produces all currency, government securities, and more than half of the nation's postage stamps at two facilities in Washington, D.C. and Fort Worth, Texas.
C. Danny Spriggs
Deputy Director, U.S. Secret Service
C. Danny Spriggs, a 26-year veteran with the United States Secret Service, was appointed to the position of Deputy Director on February 13, 2002. Mr. Spriggs’ appointment continues the agency’s legacy of selecting its Deputy Director from within the special agent ranks. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Spriggs was the Assistant Director for the Office of Protective Operations.
