Washington, DC Tours - Spring/Summer Tour and Visitor Center Hours of Operation

The BEP Tour and Visitor Center will close to the public on Monday, May 23, 2016, between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Tours previously reserved through Congressional Offices will be honored. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Tour Tickets will be available at the Visitor Entrance on 14th Street for tour times between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.
Located in the heart of the Nation's Capital, the BEP's Washington, DC Tour and Visitor Center is a great place to learn all about U.S. paper currency.  You can see millions of dollars being printed as you walk along the gallery overlooking the production floor!  The free 40-minute experience includes an introductory film and gallery tour of the production process.  The visitor center includes exhibits and currency products for sale.
Admission is free, however tickets are required March 7 through August 31, 2016.

The Ticket Booth, located at Raoul Wallenburg Place (formerly 15th ST, SW), opens at 8:00 a.m. and closes when all tickets have been distributed for the day.

The Tour Entrance is located on 14th Street, SW.  Visitor’s must line up according to their ticket time at the Entrance on 14th Street and wait directions from tour guides to enter the building.

Tour Hours of Operation
9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Tours run every 15 minutes

Evening hours begin March 21 through August 26, 2016.
2:15 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Visitor Center Hours of Operation
8:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.

The Tour and Visitor Center is closed on weekends, federal holidays, and the week between Christmas and New Years Day.


The BEP is a federal government organization and adheres to closure, late arrival or early dismissal guidance issued by the Office of Personnel Management (OPM).  OPM determines the federal agency operating status for the Washington, DC area.
