Washington, DC Tours - Directions and Transportation

Take the Blue or Orange Line to the Smithsonian Station. Leave through the Independence Avenue/Bureau of Engraving and Printing Exit. As you step off the escalator go straight ahead on Independence Avenue towards 14th Street. Cross and turn left on 14th Street and the BEP is one block away. In the Spring/Summer months (March 7 - August 31, 2016), please make your way to the front of the building on Raoul Wallenberg Place (formerly 15th Street), where you will find the ticket booth. When it is time to take your tour, or in the Fall/Winter months (after September 1, 2016), please proceed to the entrance on 14th Street.

The BEP is served by Metrobus routes 52, V4 and V6 in DC and 13 from Virginia. Call (202) 637-7000 for information and schedules.

Old Town Trolley

The BEP is included on the Tourmobile Old Town Trolley "Orange Loop" tour that operates continually during the day between Washington landmarks. The Old Town Trolley stop that is most conveniently located to us, is stop number seven at the intersection of 12th Street and Independence Avenue.

The DC Circulator is the product of a unique public/private partnership between the District Department of Transportation, Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority, and DC Surface Transit, Inc. The stop is on 14th Street and Independence Avenue.
